My 2018 goals

Hi everyone! I can’t believe we are already in another year! It has become a bit of a tradition for me to write a blog post on my goals for the upcoming year so I naturally had to write one for this year. I admit that I am not that great at actually tracking my goals but I do like to set myself some regardless. I thought that this year I would break them up into personal and blogging goals as there is quite a lot I want to achieve and thought they would be easier to achieve if I categorised them.

Some Kind of Wonderful by Giovanna Fletcher

“Lizzy and Ian have been a couple since their first day at university. Now, after celebrating a decade together, everyone thinks they’re about to get engaged. A romantic escape to Dubai is the perfect moment, but instead of the proposal Lizzy hopes for, Ian reveals he’s not sure he even wants her anymore.

My blogging journey

Hi everyone! So I know I have written a million and one posts similar to this one, explaining the reasons I started blogging, why I created this particular blog, what direction my blog will go in etc etc. However, this is more of a reflection post of where I started and where I am now. I was recently watching a tag video created by Zoe Sugg known as the YouTube show and tell tag. Continue reading “My blogging journey”

Why I wasn’t afraid to quit

Hi everyone! So I know I have been the worst blogger as of late and I haven’t published a post since the middle of September. I don’t know why but I have just lacked motivation to blog, I mean this is the fourth version of this blog post which I had already written but didn’t end up publishing it. I have been wanting to get back into blogging as I have had a surge of ideas but I didn’t want to just jump back in as if I had never been away and even since drafting this post a lot has changed and I just wanted to write a post to kind of explain what has been going on and how I am feeling. My blogging fuck budget

Hi everyone! So today’s post is inspired by Abbey Louisa Rose as she recently wrote a post about her own blogging fuck budget. She based it on the concept of a fuck budget from Sarah Knight’s book The life changing magic of not giving a fuck. I have been wanting to read this book for ages but haven’t got round to it yet. I wanted to read the book before writing and sharing my personal fuck budget but I thought it would be fun to do a blogging one!

My August favourites

Hi everyone! I can’t believe we are already at the end of August and going into September!! Where is the year going?? So I wasn’t going to write this post originally because I was going to give up these posts. However, I thought I would reinvent it and share my favourite blog posts and YouTube videos from the month. I was going to write a post about my favourite bloggers and vloggers but I thought this would a more fun way to do it. Continue reading “My August favourites”

21 things for my 21st birthday

Hi everyone! So it’s my 21st birthday! I love birthdays. I love being a year older, I love having a reason to celebrate. This year I am going out for a meal with my family and then at the weekend we are doing an escape room as a joint celebration for me and my boyfriends birthday as our birthdays are a week apart which I am so excited for too! I decided that as a way to commemorate my birthday on my blog, I would make a list of 21 things about me and what I’ve learnt/experienced. Continue reading “21 things for my 21st birthday”

Let’s talk about social media pods

Hi everyone! So this post was going to be a bit of a gripe originally but I thought I would actually make it a more informative post. So if you are a blogger you are likely to be aware of ‘pods’. They are often used on social media to boost engagement. I’ve read that they are most commonly used on Facebook, twitter and Instagram, although I only have experience of using them on twitter and Instagram as I don’t have a page for my blog on Facebook. I thought it would be a good idea to share my experiences of using pods on both platforms. Continue reading “Let’s talk about social media pods”

Blog in review: July 2017

Hi everyone! So if you are a regular reader, you’ll know that I set myself goals at the start of each month. However, I realised that as much as I liked this, I also needed to reflect upon the previous month and how I’d done with those goals. The idea of this post is to reflect on the last month and then set myself some goals based on what I want to improve on. Continue reading “Blog in review: July 2017”
