My most anticipated book releases for this year

Hi everyone! So I’ve never been one to take a lot of interest in new releases. I often notice them but I don’t always think about the new releases that I have to read as soon as they come out. I’m the type of person who ends up becoming obsessed with a book that was released five years ago, it is quite rare I read a book as soon as it comes out.

Dream a little dream by Giovanna Fletcher

“Sarah is doing just fine. Sure she’s been single for the last five years, and has to spend an uncomfortable amount of time around her ex-boyfriend, his perfect new girlfriend and all their mutual friends. And yes, her job as a PA to one of the most disgusting men in London is mind-numbingly tedious and her career is a constant disappointment to her mother. But it’s really okay. She’s happy (ish).

Blogger book nook #6: Sharing the love of books

Hi everyone! So I am already five books in to my challenge of 25 this year and the fifth book I read was for this month’s book nook. For this month’s prompt, Abbey and Tabitha came up with doing a book swap in order to share our love of books. I rarely swap books with anyone so I was really excited for this prospect and what a better time to share the love of books than the month of valentines day!

My favourite books

Hi everyone! So I was just writing another book related post and it occurred to me that I haven’t reviewed as many books as I would have liked on this blog. I also realised that a lot of the books I have loved I reviewed on my old blog. I have contemplated sharing those reviews on here but I thought that would be slightly tedious and my reviewing style has changed since then. So I thought I would write a post compiling short reviews of some of the books I reviewed on my old blog.

Always with Love by Giovanna Fletcher

“Sophie’s got used to being the girlfriend of Billy Buskin, the biggest movie star in the world. Sort of. But when she and Billy take a trip to visit his family in Los Angeles, she quickly discovers she’s totally unprepared for the chaos of Hollywood, the paparazzi and Billy’s controlling mother.

Blogger book nook #5: Judging a book by its cover

Hi everyone! So if you are a regular reader, you will know that I take part in the Blogger book nook run by Abbey and Tabitha every month. If you are new to this, it is a book group where Abbey and Tabitha set a prompt for each month with questions relating to it in order to motivate us to read a book relating to the prompt and review it. This month’s prompt was an interesting one as it goes against every instinct I have as a reader…to judge a book by it’s cover. For this prompt, I chose The girl of ink and stars by Kiran Millwood Hargrave because it has such a beautiful cover and struck me as something I would read.

I’m opening an etsy shop!

Hi everyone! So today’s post was going to be another ‘this is what I’ve learnt’ kind of post but not only did I not want to write another of those posts, I have something new and exciting to share. If you read my last post, you will know I am winging it for a while. Part of what I want to do as a result of this decision is to work for myself. I had admitted that I didn’t know exactly what this would entail and that I knew there would be some challenges. However, last week I had a brainwave. I have decided to open my own etsy shop!

Introducing…The Disney Series!

Hi everyone! If you have been following my blog for a while, you will know I love everything Disney. I recently starting sharing Disney themed content on my blog, although it has been slightly sparse. With this in mind, I really wanted to make Disney content a major part of my blog this year. I have had this in the pipeline for a while but I just didn’t have the motivation to get it off the ground but I thought as one of my blogging goals is to diversify my content, I thought now would be a better chance than ever. I love Disney YouTubers and whenever they share their Disney trips they call them ‘series’ so I thought as I don’t have a YouTube channel I could do a Disney series on my blog instead!
