Sims-a-thon roundup

Hi everyone! So you may have seen that this month I took part in the sims-a-thon which is a read-a-thon based around challenges you can complete on Sims 4. I wrote a TBR post at the start of the month that you can read.

How did I do?
So I originally planned to complete 10 challenges. However, I ended up completing 7 of the challenges which to be honest I don’t think is too bad. I knew I was being quite ambitious so I’m happy with the challenges I did complete.

In terms of the challenges, I completed:

Have a baby – Read a book featuring a child (5 points)
This was the first challenge I completed as I was already reading Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella at the time of starting the read-a-thon. You can read my full review here.

Create a Sim – Read a book that is first in a series (5 points)
The second challenge I completed was creating my sim. For this challenge I decided to read Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. You can read my full review here.

Get a job – Writer – Read a book by a new-to-you author (2 points)
I got a job for my third challenge and read Birthday by Meredith Russo. You can read my full review here.

Make a friend – Read a book that features friendships (3 points)
As it came out this month anyway I decided to read The paper and hearts society by Lucy Powrie for this challenge. You can read my full review here.

Perfect the layout – Read a book with an interesting layout (2 points)
So in my original TBR I said I was going to read Toffee by Sarah Crossan but then I remembered I still needed to read the fantastic beasts: crimes of grindelwald so I thought I would read that for this challenge instead.

Build a house – Read a something set in another world (3 points)
Again originally I was going to read Chasing the stars by Malorie Blackman for this challenge but ended up going for Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.

Fall in love – Read a book with a romance element (3 points)
So I actually managed to complete one final challenge before the end of sims-a-thon. I was actually going to read night owls by Jenn Bennett but I decided to read Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman instead.

Total number of points: 23

Challenges I didn’t complete
So there were obviously three challenges I didn’t complete. The challenges I didn’t complete were:
Eat a cookie (Read a book under 200 pages)
Pay bills (Read your most recent purchase)
Age up (Read an adult book)

I actually did start the challenge pay bills by reading extraordinary means but I ended up DNF’ing it because I found it a little too cheesy. I didn’t complete the other two because I just didn’t have time.

There you have it! My sims-a-thon wrap up. I actually really enjoyed taking part so thank you to Kara for creating this and I cannot wait to take part again in the future. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Thanks for reading!

Abbie. X
