Burn for burn by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian

“Postcard-perfect Jar Island is home to charming tourist shops, pristine beaches, amazing oceanfront homes—and three girls secretly plotting revenge.

KAT is sick and tired of being bullied by her former best friend.

LILLIA has always looked out for her little sister, so when she discovers that one of her guy friends has been secretly hooking up with her, she’s going to put a stop to it.

MARY is perpetually haunted by a traumatic event from years past, and the boy who’s responsible has yet to get what’s coming to him.

None of the girls can act on their revenge fantasies alone without being suspected. But together…anything is possible.

With an alliance in place, there will be no more “I wish I’d said…” or “If I could go back and do things differently…” These girls will show Jar Island that revenge is a dish best enjoyed together.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I picked this up on a whim as I had been eyeing it up on the kindle store for a while but I actually saw it for £1 at my local charity shop so I just decided to go for it. Overall, I really enjoyed it. The things I loved about this book were that it was written by two authors and had three point of views. I liked the way it switched between the present and past memories for each of the girls. I also didn’t see Mary’s story coming and what happens at the end. I think it is very pretty little liars so if you were a fan of that you will likely be a fan of this. I will be interested to see where the story goes in the next book as it is a trilogy. I would also like to see it be adapted, possibly as a TV series.
