February.

Hi everyone! How is it already February?! People have been saying that January was a slow month but I think it flew by. I haven’t blogged in a while like this so I thought I would do a bit of a round up of January in terms of my general life and what I have been reading and what I hope to read in February. I don’t usually do monthly TBRs as I am always changing my mind about what I want to read but I have a yearly TBR of books I would like to have read by the end of this year which is something I have done for the past two years so I thought I would start doing a mini TBR for each month whether I stick to it or not.

January was a pretty standard month. It was mainly filled with doing uni work and attending uni. I started back properly mid January so I had to go to uni for a week and then my weekly tasks started the week after. Me and my fiance went to see Ralph breaks the internet which I loved and was happy we got the chance to see it as we were meant to go before Christmas but didn’t end up doing so. I saw my best friend a couple of times and went to see a family friend. Me and my fiance also gave notice of marriage and bought our wedding rings so things are really starting to feel real especially as we can say we are getting married this year!

In terms of books, I actually read quite a lot in January. I finished 7 books which I am pretty sure is a record for me. Admittedly I started a couple before the new year but they still count towards this years reading challenge. My reading challenge for this year is 30 books which I felt was a reasonable goal.

Books I read in January
My mum Tracy Beaker By Jacqueline Wilson
Margot and Me By Juno Dawson
Archenemies By Marissa Meyer
Slated By Teri Terry
Two can keep a secret By Karen M. McManus
Fantastic beasts and where to find them
The Psychopath test By Jon Ronson

Books I want to read in February
Paper Avalanche – I saw this book on twitter so I looked it up and read the synopsis and just knew I had to read it. I already have a copy of the book that I am going to start today.
The color purple – I bought this book in January but haven’t gotten round to reading it yet so it will definitely be on my reading list for this month.
Harry Potter and the cursed child – I was bought this book for Christmas and haven’t gotten around to it so I definitely want to read it this month.
Shattered – I have been listening to the Slated trilogy on audible and I am almost at the end of the second book so I definitely need to read the final book to see how it ends.

There you have it! I am hoping to do this every month although I wouldn’t necessarily count on it. How was your January? What are your plans for February? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Thanks for reading!

Abbie. X
