Archenemies by Marissa Meyer

Warning: may contain spoilers for Renegades “Time is running out. Together, they can save the world. But they each other’s worst nightmare. In Renegades, Nova and Adrian (aka Insomnia and Sketch) fought the battle of their lives against the Anarchist known as the Detonator. It was a short-lived victory. The Anarchists still have a secret weapon, one that Nova believes will protect her. The Renegades also have a strategy for overpowering the Anarchists, but both Nova and Adrian understand that it could mean the end of Gatlon City – and the world – as they know it.” Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I read the first book of the renegades trilogy last year and after the way that book ended I knew I had to read the second one once it was released. I rated the first book four stars because although I did enjoy it overall it was a bit slow in the beginning as you were getting to know the characters and the story was developing. However, this book was definitely the better of the two for me. There was way more going on and it had a better pace to it. I also enjoyed seeing the development of the relationships between the characters and there were a lot of twists and turns throughout the book that keeps you interested. I would say its worth a read even if you didn’t think much of renegades. Have you read archenemies? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. Thanks for reading! Abbie. X
