Warning – May contain spoilers for Ink
“Leora is reeling: questioning everything she has ever known about her family and herself. As half-Marked and half-Blank, can she ever wholly belong in either fractured community? Mayor Longsight wants to use her as a weapon: to infiltrate Featherstone, home of the Blanks, and deliver them to him for obliteration. Leora longs for answers about her mysterious birth mother, and Featherstone may reveal them. But will she find solace and safety there or a viper’s nest of suspicion and secrets? “

I absolutely loved this book! I read Ink a few weeks ago and I loved it so much that I just knew I had to read the sequel straight away. I actually think that this book was better than the first. I was seriously gripped from the first page. I was just so drawn in by Leora from the first page and just didn’t want to put the book down. I was constantly wanting to know what would happen next. There just wasn’t a dull moment in the book. I also loved this book because it’s such a contrasting perspective to the first one particularly for Leora.
I also loved the characters you meet in this book. I loved the people of Featherstone, particularly Gull, who Leora befriends. I just found the developing relationships enjoyable. There are also a few twists that you don’t see coming which adds to the story and draws you in even further. This book was actually only released this year but I’m pretty sure there will be another book to follow it.
