When Giovanna and Tom announced this book I was so excited. I have been reading Giovanna’s books since last year so I love her already but as Tom writes children books normally I’d never read any of his writing so to get to read something co written by the both of them made me really excited. It’s safe to say that I was not dissappointed! I was a bit apprehensive at first because I didn’t really know if the romantic element would end up being really cheesy but it’s anything but in my opinion. I actually raced through this book as I finished it in a week which is the fastest I’ve read a book recently, which shows how much I enjoyed the book.

There are so many elements to the book that you just don’t see coming which makes it even better. I’m also a sucker for multiple points of view so I enjoyed reading it from both Eve and Brams point of view, which was made even better written by two authors and the fact it’s two separate worlds. The writing was just so clever and the story goes so much deeper and emotional than just the romantic element that is on the surface. I honestly couldn’t recommend this book enough and I’m really excited to see where the story goes next as it’s a trilogy!

Have you read Eve of Man? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Thanks for reading!

  1. I have never read anything by Giovanna Fletcher but I’ve heard so many good things about her books! This sounds like such an intriguing concept – I read an “end of the world” apocalyptic style novel called I Am Traitor a while ago that also had quite a strong romantic element and to be honest, I didn’t think it was brilliant! This book seems to have done a similar thing a lot better though, I’ll have to pick it up!

  2. What an interesting idea, to have two authors write a book. As you say, I only know Tom from his children’s books but this sounds like a very different proposition. It’s the second rave review I’ve read of this book so it’s going in my Amazon basket for a summer read now – thank you! xx
