Hi everyone! So if you are a regular reader, you’ll know that I set myself goals at the start of each month. However, I realised that as much as I liked this, I also needed to reflect upon the previous month and how I’d done with those goals. The idea of this post is to reflect on the last month and then set myself some goals based on what I want to improve on.
Over the last few months I have been a really terrible blogger. I’ve been trying to up my game but I still feel like I’m slacking a bit. I have a ton of ideas for posts but I just seem to struggle to get round to writing them. I struggle to motivate myself to actually write the posts. However, I really enjoy blogging and want to motivate myself to write more. Based on this, here are my goals for August.
1. Plan more – This is my biggest downfall when it comes to blogging. I always leave writing a post to the last minute and never think it through first. I feel like if I plan posts out and really think about my posts, I will be able to post more times a week. Hopefully my achievement of this goal will be reflected in my posting schedule.
2. Up my Instagram game – OK so I’m constantly saying I’m not going to put pressure on myself to post on Instagram but I’m so jealous of how good other people’s Instagrams are and I really want to be that good. The struggle I have with this goal is I don’t know how to improve my Instagram. I don’t know how to take a good flatlay or just any decent shots. However, I’m determined to up my Instagram game and hopefully it can become something I’m proud of.
3. Promote myself more – This is goal I’ve been trying to achieve this month but I always find scheduling tweets so tedious but I’ve learnt in the past that it works so it is something I need to start doing again. I also created a pinterest board for my blog but don’t really use it properly so I need to start using it again and try and find the best way to use it.
There you have it, my review of July and my goals for August. Have you got any goals for August? Feel free to share them in the comments.
